With over three decades of experience in the technology industry, he is driven by a passion for innovation, people leadership, and purposeful transformation. In his current role, he combines deep financial expertise, strategic business insight, and technical depth to help organisations shape and execute impactful transformation strategies.
Together with his team, Ravi enables customers to accelerate their AI transformation journeys through hands-on expertise and strategic guidance. He was recognised among the 100 Most Influential African Leaders in Technology and Telecommunications (2024) by Africa Tech Festival and Connecting Africa and he serves on the Leadership Council of #AfricaTechFestival for 2025, contributing to the continent’s digital future.
Charl Amin

Charl Amin has 22 years of experience mainly in technology, consulting services and market development across Africa, Middle East, UK and Europe. She has worked for the last 4 years within the Microsoft ecosystem with clients to digitally accelerate their businesses through codeveloping new business models and products using cloud and AI technologies.

Nick Botha leads 4Sight's Indirect Business Model through the Channel Partner (CP) Cluster with a clear mission: to build and empower a global partner ecosystem that drives digital transformation across Africa, Central Europe, and the Middle East. He helps the partner ecosystem and their customers with their journey of Digital AI Transformation.
With a career rooted in strategic growth and partner enablement, Nick is the architect behind 4Sight’s partner-driven expansion model. His leadership has been instrumental in scaling the company’s footprint through collaborative engagements, innovative sales strategies, and a relentless focus on delivering real-world value through emerging technologies like 4AI. Lionel Moyal
Channel Partners Lead - Africa Region, Microsoft
Lionel Moyal is the SI and Channel Partners Lead for the Microsoft Africa Region. As a member of the leadership team at Microsoft South Africa, he has been responsible for building and growing a thriving partner channel, including Systems Integrators, ISVs, Startups, Channel Partners and Global Partners.
Lionel has a diverse range of business experience in the technology space. He is passionate about technology and innovation, startups and growth businesses. He is an advocate for responsible digital transformation through technology and people-driven organisational change and aligning digital transformation initiatives with corporate governance as per King IV.
Andy Sherring
Founder and CEO, NextGenOpX
Andy is an industry-leading integrated operations expert. His unique, comprehensive approach is built around an intimate understanding of operations and organisational culture from 40 years’ mining industry experience, including senior management roles with major mining companies. He led the design and delivery of Rio Tinto Iron Ore’s ground-breaking Operations Centre in Perth, which integrated the planning and execution of the mining, rail and port ops, adding $2bn/yr value.
He subsequently developed a comprehensive solution for Integrated Operations, and established NextGenOpX’s unique business model. Recent engagements include: the successful design and implementation of a fully integrated operating model for Sasol Mining; the design of Rio Tinto Iron Ore's Future Operating Platform; and the global integration of the Komatsu and Joy Global mining businesses. He is the author of a best-selling book titled ‘Don’t Digitise Your Rubbish’, which is the mining industry’s definitive book about integration and using it as a vehicle for transformative change.
Carl Sandrock
Head of Data Science, Traction
Carl Sandrock spent 15 years at the University of Pretoria researching the interface between computers, process control, and human interaction. During this time, he developed modeling tools for nonlinear process simulation, with a particular emphasis on stochastic simulation. He supervised numerous postgraduate projects in collaboration with industry partners, including Sasol, Sappi, and Anglo Platinum, focusing on leveraging process models to enhance control, deepen understanding of process behavior, and augment process engineering expertise with algorithmic knowledge discovery.
He is a co-author of the SHGO optimization algorithm, which is integrated into scipy.optimize. Additionally, he contributes to the development of the Psibyl Model Predictive Controller. Currently, Carl serves as the Head of Data Science and AI at Traction, where he applies process control principles to brand management and expands his expertise into artificial intelligence.
Ian Mackay
Associate Director, PWC South Africa
Ian Mackay is deeply passionate about Business Development, Operational Efficiency, Operations Management, Project Specification, Project Delivery, and fostering satisfied, repeat clients. With extensive experience consulting across nearly 40 cities in regions including South East Asia, South Africa, Africa, the USA, the UK, Europe, and South America, he excels at building rapport and creating sustainable, efficient, and profitable solutions to business challenges, engaging effectively with stakeholders from the CEO level to the production line.
Werner Grundling
Managing Director, NextGenOpX
Werner is the Regional Partner and MD Africa for NextGenOpX, overseeing project delivery of business-wide solutioning projects, integrated operations platform implementation, and PMO services. He has 25 years' experience at Anglo American Platinum in both strategic and operational roles, in South Africa and internationally.
Werner has led various successful strategic turnaround and transformation programmes, which have delivered sustainable cultural change and major value improvement. These have included cross-functional enterprise optimisation, spanning conventional, mechanised, open pit and processing operations. He places a particular emphasis on sustainable cultural change and value delivery. A systems-thinker, who can translate abstracts and concepts into practical solutions to optimise the business model, and develop programmes that deliver results.
Percy French
Divisional Engineering Manager, Sibanye Stilwater
Percy, is the divisional engineering manager for control and Instrumentation at Sibany Stillwater Platinum division. He holds an NH. Diploma in electrical engineering light current and process control. He has 34 years’ experience in the South African mining, metals as well as Iron and Steel manufacturing industries. In his professional life, his passion is to develop and enhance automated systems and process control optimization. Over the last 25 years, he was involved with the design, construction and optimisation of various Mining related operations, spanning from Shaft winder system, Compressed air, PGM Concentrators, smelting and refining.
He is part of the local technical schools tutor program as it also fits in with what he enjoys the most, which is model engineering of live steam locomotives, developing electronic circuits and coaching cross-country running. He enjoys vegetable gardening as a hobby as well as middle and long-distance road running.
